I first became interested in stained glass in 1978. After tinkering as a hobby for a short time I was employed and apprenticed at North American Art Glass Service  under Mr. Bob Lindsey, a master craftsman with over over 40 years of experience in the trade. We specialized in the repair, restoration, and preservation of historic church windows throughout the midwest. The experience gained there was invaluable in the areas of  historic glass varieties, methods and practices of repair, restoration, and preservation of historic stained glass windows.

From there I moved on to Kansas City and gained additional experience in the areas of  stained glass design, layout, and production techniques at Hopcroft Art & Glass Works and eventually became the shop foreman.

In 1982 I launched Johnson County Stained Glass and in 1984, teamed up with Mr. Gary Smith, an old Hopcroft associate and friend.  Togetherr we had as many as 15 skilled crafts people creating and restoring works of stained and leaded glass art.

Things have scaled down now as I approach almost 50 years in the trade.  I now focus on select projects of interest, working with clients on design playing with  glass selections to blend color and light to meet their needs.

Additionally, I have an extensive inventory of restoration specific glass and  specialize in and provide expert restoration & repair services for historic and sentimental stained glass pieces.
