I first became interested and fascinated with stained glass in 1978. After tinkering as a hobby for a short time  I was employed and apprenticed at North American Art Glass Service  under the tutelage of Mr. Bob Lindsey, a master craftsman with over over 40 years of experience in the trade. Bob specialized in the repair, restoration, and preservation of historic church windows throughout the midwest. The experience I gained there was invaluable in the areas of  historic glass varieties, methods and practices of repair, restoration, and preservation of historic stained glass windows.

From there I moved on to Kansas City and gained additional experience at Hopcroft Art Glass Works in the areas of  stained glass design, layout,production techniques and eventually became the shop foreman.

In 1982 I launched Johnson County Stained Glass and had as many as 15 skilled crafts people creating and restoring works of art.

I've scaled things down now as I approach almost 50 years in the trade and focus on working with clients on designs and glass selections to meet their needs.

I also maintaiin a strong focus on restoration, repair, and of course, a love  and continuing practice of the art and craft.
